Creating a Prototype


The goal right now is to develop a functional prototype of the basic features that Lord Of Streets should have.


I know the animation isn’t perfect, but I think it should work for the prototype. Plus, it’s helping me get familiar with Aseprite. Honestly, it’s a pretty interesting tool—except for the part where I had to Google "how to move a layer." In most tools, you just drag the layer, but in Aseprite, you have to drag it from the edge (the tiny 2-3px yellow line).

On another note, I’ve been preparing for the future marketing of the game. I’ve secured the domain lordofstreets.com, which for now redirects to the game’s page on Itch.io.

At the moment, I think Itch.io is more than sufficient to host, market, and eventually sell my game. It allows me to focus on ensuring the development process remains fast and efficient.
